After the video, the team will answer questions and share some ways to get involved in STEM!

The Down Syndrome-Autism Connection convene its regular Zoom chat the last Tuesday of every month. The DSAC invites all families affected by Down syndrome and autism, including families who recently got an autism diagnosis, to join them. Teens and adults ages 13+, caregivers and/or family members are invited to join us for an afternoon at Good Pickin’ Farm! With so many activities to choose from, there is more than enough fun to go around!
-Enjoy a hayride!
-Play with all the farm animals!

-Roast marshmallows by the bonfire!
-Ice Skate! (bring your own skates & helmet)
-Go sledding! (bring your own sled)
-Put on your boots and go for a goat hike!

The Self-Advocacy Advisory Committee (SAAC) invites all self-advocates (individuals with Down syndrome) ages 22+ to the first social of 2022! Meet us on Zoom to let your inner star shine and sing karaoke with friends! If being in the spotlight or singing isn’t your thing, join us to cheer on friends and dance to good tunes!

Does your teen or adult loved one with Down syndrome also have a mental health diagnosis such as Depression, Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder or Bipolar Disorder? Often these illnesses bring on a change in daily living skills, mood, or interest in activities once enjoyed. Seeing these changes and regression in your loved one can be very difficult.
Please note that individualized psychiatric treatment will not be provided at this meeting. This meeting is meant to serve as a venue for families with loved ones with Down syndrome and mental health concerns so that they may obtain mutual support with professional supervision.
