Join the 21 Shades group, an inclusive support group for all families of African heritage in Massachusetts who love someone with Down Syndrome, for a monthly meetup. The group meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday of every month from 7-8 pm. MDSC is again part of the Numbers for Nonprofits program for the Falmouth Road race! This year’s event will be hybrid: with an in-person event scheduled for August 15 and the At-Home Edition (virtual component) between August 7th and August 14th.

125th Boston Marathon

The 125th Boston Marathon, the oldest marathon in the country, has been rescheduled from Patriots Day to Monday, October 11th.
On October 11th, Team MDSC will take on the 26.2 trek from Hopkinton to Copley Square. And you can apply to be one of the few runners who gets to participate!
The MDSC is proud to be an official partner of the John Hancock™ Non-Profit Marathon Program. Through this partnership, the MDSC continues to raise critical funds to implement and sustain MDSC programs and services.

125th Boston Marathon

Hopkinton to Boston

Since 2012, the MDSC has been proud to be an official charity of the John Hancock™ Non-Profit Marathon Program, raising over $800,000. Since then, dozens of dedicated individuals have had the opportunity to fulfill their personal dream and run the marathon in honor of people with Down syndrome. The Non-Profit Program provides over 1000 Boston Marathon® bibs to select non-profit organizations throughout the community, which provides organizations with a significant fundraising opportunity.
